Top 3 Trekking Destinations Of Nepal To Consider This Trekking Season
So you are all set ready for a Nepal trekking
adventure? However you are not sure what should be in your trekking
list? Let us guide you through some of the best trekking destinations in
Nepal:
Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek:
The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek
is one of the remotest treks in Nepal. It has multiple options of both
North and South Base Camps as well as numerous side trips. The trek goes
through the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, managed by local
communities in partnership with WWF, which is one of the least densely
populated areas in Nepal. Pristine forests, alpine meadows and
high-altitude wetlands are home to the endangered snow leopard and red
panda, the vulnerable Himalayan black bear, clouded leopard and Assamese
macaque.

Langtang Trek:
The
Langtang Valley Trek is a pleasant trip in Nepal that begins with tours
of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites followed by a drive to
Syabrubesi the next day. Following the route map, you begin trekking
from the lower region of the Langtang Valley through small villages,
farmlands and verdant forests to Kyangjin Gompa. You also climb Tserko
Ri for excellent sunrise views over the Langtang ranges. The region
borders Tibet and was once an important trading route. You can still see
the influence in the rich local culture. Furthermore, the Langtang
Valley Trek’s itinerary also takes us to the ‘Langtang Village’ which
was heavily affected by the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in
April 2015.
Manaslu Trek:
The
Manaslu Circuit trek is far less crowded than other classic treks in
Nepal and remains a true remote adventure, despite its increasing in
popularity since teahouses were built here in 2010. The Manaslu Trek
features all the great aspects of a classic trek in Nepal: epic
scenery, spectacular suspension bridge crossings and a 5100m
(17,000-ft.) Himalayan pass.

The
Manaslu Trek is now a great tea-house trek. Some call it the best
all-round trek in Nepal and it’s on the Great Himalaya Trail. It’s
certainly a great alternative to the Annapurna Circuit. Camping is not
required unless you go off the beaten track. The trek is much easier
than it used to be with greatly improved trails along the Budi Gandaki
river gorge. In terms of difficulty, it is comparable with the Annapurna
Circuit Trek or Everest Base Camp trek. Its highlight is undoubtedly
the spectacular unhindered views of Manaslu.
